Hello again, CITP fans! Apologies, had meant to get this blog post up on Tuesday already, however, this has been the most hectic, crazy week and as is to be expected in the final days before our first concert of the series on Sunday, more and more balls have been thrown into the air, demanding to be juggled… in fact, I strongly suspect that everyone involved with the Concerts has actually grown an extra set of arms this week along with juggling skills that would put the Cirque performers to shame ;)
But, it’s all good – Sunday is only three sleeps away and the weather promises to be fine – clear skies and sunny. The wind is even predicted to subside somewhat for our inaugural Gala event (yay!).
Honestly, Sunday’s concert is promising to be epic, so please come along and say hi. Pack a picnic, bring the family (furry friends too) and find a spot from which to enjoy the show.
It just leaves to say a HUGE thanks to all our sponsors! Without them, there would be no concerts to speak of. There is a long list of wonderful businesses, people and organisations who have all contributed generously in various ways to make this concert series a most unique and special event on the Cape Town summer calendar.
Unique and special sums it up: The entry - FREE to all. The setting - lovely De Waal Park with our beautiful Table Mountain in the background. The atmosphere – young and old from all walks of life dancing and singing along together. The music – the super- talented musicians who serenade us as the sun sets. If you’re not yet totally convinced, come and see for yourself – 4pm on Sunday.
